Nourishing Mind, Body, and Soul Through Divine Eating
What if the food on your plate was the key to your spiritual connection? Phoenix Starr, an 11-year vegetarian with a remarkable spiritual journey dating back to her childhood, reveals the profound link between what we eat and how we connect with the divine.
Phoenix captivates us with her simple yet revolutionary philosophy: "Everything you do is spiritual, including what you eat." This fundamental truth transformed her approach to nourishment, leading her to distinguish between what she calls "God food"—natural, plant-based foods that elevate consciousness—and processed foods that disconnect us from our higher selves. "Man-made food puts you closer to the grave, but God food puts you closer to God," she explains with disarming clarity.
Her journey began at just six years old when she first received her spiritual calling, setting her on a path that made her stand out as the "church girl" in school. While she initially struggled to fit in, Phoenix now embraces her unique spiritual nature and shares practical wisdom for others beginning their own nutritional transformation. She offers a gradual approach to adopting plant-based eating—starting with pescatarian choices, then eliminating one meat at a time—while emphasizing that each person's journey must be personal and free from comparison. Most importantly, she challenges listeners to reframe their relationship with food entirely, seeing healthier choices not as punishment or deprivation but as profound acts of self-love and spiritual alignment.

I couldn't get on my knees and pray and then go feel my spirit back up with stuff that wasn't good. Welcome, welcome back. We have the one and only Miss Phoenix Starr here. Y'all, starr, tell us just a little bit about yourself. Oh, why you want me to start? I gotta be short, you right? Because you know my stuff is yeah. So Well, what brought you in today? Vegan? Okay, since we talking about vegan stuff, let's do it.
Speaker 1:I've been a vegetarian for 11 years. I was a vegan for three of those years. Cleaning up my diet really helped my mental. So I can say that do go hand in hand. You are what you eat, you are what you eat. So once I started my healing journey, food was the first thing I had to start. I had to, like I couldn't get on my knees and pray and then go feel my spirit back up with stuff that wasn't good. It's like I'm releasing, but then I'm filling up physically. See, I do it both Physically and spiritually. It has to be hand in hand. Everything I do is spiritual, everything I do, including what I eat. When I realized that, I said, oh, it is Connected, it makes sense, and I'm eating food that's connected to God. Think about it. He made all the greens Some eating your creation. Some of the people see, yeah, it said he man-made foods. I'm a closer to me, closer to brain. Yes, man-made food puts you closer to the grave, but God food puts you closer to God. Elevation, hello Greens. Vegan food, vegetarian food, I call it God food. It's closer to God. I'm telling you, everything you do, if you remember this, everything you do is spiritual. Your whole life will change. Your whole life will change, even eating Everything. So you've been on this journey for 11 years. Well, the eating journey, 11 years, but the spiritual journey?
Speaker 1:I was 6 years old when I first received my college. I was 6. Since then, of course, growing up, there's been trials, there's been experience that grew and built me. But I knew of this college because I was a student. So high school was weird for me, very weird.
Speaker 1:Okay, let's talk about just a little bit. I knew I stood out, but I tried so hard to fit in and it made it weird. If I knew what I knew now, I'd just do it out. I was different, regardless of what I tried to do, always a very. In school they called me a church girl. They saw it on my church girl. It was just spiritual. It was how the system you need. Yeah, I'm your girl, you have such a beautiful spirit, you do. It took me a long time to get here, yeah, but I'm grateful for thank you so much for seeing it.
Speaker 1:Some darkness, the ugliness is, bring out the beauty in me and you know it takes that. That's a message. That's a message that the ugly bring out the beauty in you, but you gotta release the ugly. You got to release the ugly, you right, you right. So, since we're in Beacon, talking about Beacon, what would be one thing you could tell someone like myself who wants to start, okay, like, start small, I think it's called pescetarian. I'm saying, okay, start.
Speaker 1:I started at first. I only ate fish. It's a cleaner, leaner meat. After that I will cut out red meat, for sure, red meat and pork, if you can cut that off on top. Start there. But one day at a time, one meat at a time. I cut out one meat. My meat I cut out first was was beef. I wasn't really oh don't pass out I wasn't really a big beef eater, so beef was not as I wouldn't say. It was easy, but it wasn't as hard as the other meats. My last meat was chicken, chicken and maybe turkey. You know what I'm saying. That was my last meat to cut out, but I was a pescatarian. I'm saying that right, for about five years of it. Okay. So take your time.
Speaker 1:It's a personal journey, personal journey, personal. Don't compare yourself to nobody else's journey. If you just wanna not eat red meat, that's your journey. You just wanna eat lean meat, that's your journey. I don't like vegan, all the way vegan because I like my eggs and my cheese. They don't do nothing to me Bad. But I'm just saying don't listen to me, y'all. I like my eggs and my cheese. Okay, that's the only reason why I'm not 100% vegan. I was a vegan for three years and it was a struggle. I'm not going to lie Because I want my eggs and my cheese, but anybody want to start off.
Speaker 1:Make it personal, one day at a time. Make it spiritual Love on your body. It's about reconnecting back to you and God. Remember you need God's food, so you're connecting yourself back. It's making you healthy. It's not a punishment.
Speaker 1:Don't think I'm cutting out. I'm being punished. I can't eat this. To think about the food that we're eating. That's not really a treat to you. It's actually killing you. That ice cream, that cake, it's not a treat, it's actually pain. It's harmful to you. Don't think I'm missing out, I'm losing.
Speaker 1:Change your mentality, mind, body and soul. Mind, body and soul. Change here. First, say I'm loving myself, so I'm eating better. I'm going to feel better, I'm going to look better. You know what I'm saying. So it's not about me losing something or putting stuff out. It's about me bettering myself.
Speaker 1:You look at that first. Your mind, your mind got to be right. You're not going to be successful, so get your mind right. Make sure it's a mental thing and make sure it's about loving you. Then you won't feel like you're punishing yourself. You're not.
Speaker 1:Being a vegetarian or vegan is not being punished. Actually, it's a gift. It's a gift from God. Well, thank you for coming on. Venus, look y'all. Oh, I'm sorry, look, because you just give me so much um. So how can? Yeah, how we follow you? My business is called gypsy moon uh facebook instagram. Gypsy moon m-u-n Facebook Instagram. Jitsi Moon M-U-N for Moon and Phoenix Freedom Star Facebook Instagram and TikTok TikTok.
Speaker 1:I am gonna start by doing my daily stretches. So another thing unlock this body, guys. A lot of stuff is because we are not in line. When I tell you mind, body and soul, I'm gonna keep y'all gonna hear this a lot yes, ma'am, that mind, body and soul, everything has to be in line. Your mind can't be over here and you think your body's gonna be over here. Your body, everything gotta be like this, like this, and it should be connected to God. Of course that should be your thing. But back to what I was saying TikTok, I'm gonna start. Follow me on TikTok, the Oracle, phoenix, I'm gonna start daily stretching, getting us unlocked. Women over 40, believe it or not, I am 40.
