Youth, vision, and entrepreneurship collide in this inspiring conversation with Dylan Squire, the 18-year-old owner of The Squire After Dark. Recorded on location during a Vegan Community Cookout, this episode captures the remarkable story of how a family transformed a conventional office space into a vibrant community gathering place.

Dylan shares the origin story of The Squire, revealing how his mother first envisioned converting a space containing twelve individual insurance offices into something more meaningful—a venue where people could celebrate, connect, and create memories. What makes Dylan's journey exceptional is not just the business concept, but the profound trust his parents placed in him by transferring ownership at such a young age.

With wisdom beyond his years, Dylan expresses his genuine passion for service: "I love helping out people and I love seeing people's events come to life." His perspective on entrepreneurship focuses not on profit margins but on creating joy and facilitating meaningful experiences for others. Even as he acknowledges the inevitable challenges of business ownership, his optimistic outlook and go-with-the-flow attitude hint at the resilience that makes young entrepreneurs successful.

Whether you're a young person with entrepreneurial ambitions, a parent wondering how to nurture business-minded children, or someone interested in community space development, Dylan's story demonstrates that age is merely a number when vision, support, and passion align. Check out The Squire for your next event by visiting theSquireGroupAfterDark.com or their Facebook page, and witness firsthand how this teen entrepreneur is transforming his community one event at a time.

So, dylan, welcome on. Thank you so much. Tell us, dylan. First tell us about yourself and how you obtained this place.

Speaker 1:

So, like I said, I'm Dylan Squire. My mom actually has a vision of the Squire Cabezas. We're brand new. We have an insurance company on the other side and when we opened this the insurance company this was an office with 12 individual offices. So this wall was offices and then behind us was offices as well. My mom has the vision to make this into something where people can come and have a good time for birthdays, for anything, for events and nightstands, and then I put my heart into it as well. I love helping out people and I love seeing people events come to life. So my mom and dad gave me ownership.

Speaker 2:

Oh my gosh. And if you don't mind me asking how old are you? I'm 18. Anything is possible y'all, anything is possible. Okay, so as an 18 year old, now the owner of the Squire, how does that make you feel?

Speaker 1:

Amazing. I love seeing people be happy, love seeing people's events come to life, helping people.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

So I knew Linda. I actually reached out to her. We were planning some events. She asked me if she can use this just in case it rains. And, happy seeing all the great events, I haven't really experienced the downs yet since I'm new, but there's always downs in life and you just got to go with the flow.

Speaker 2:

And you just gotta go with the flow. So, Dylan, how can? If anybody wanted to rent out just this event or this space, how can we, or are you allowing others to just yes?
