Season 3 Episode 3

Send us a text

Did you know that our conversations with God are not just one-sided narratives? This episode will gently nudge you to understand that prayer is a two-way communion where we open ourselves to the Almighty, and He waits patiently for us to voice our thoughts. Even as we strive for agility in our daily lives, waiting to listen and trust God’s timing forms the crux of our discourse on prayer’s power. In this fast-paced world, slowing down to listen and trust His timing is as transformational as it is comforting.

As we navigate the struggles our world faces today, we take time to pray for healing and ask for God's divine touch. This episode will lead you through a heartfelt invocation for unity, strength, and protection. We'll examine how seeking divine intervention can spark a spiritual revival that stirs transformation in our communities and nations. As we bask in the power of prayer and faith, we also unfold the strength born from vulnerability before God and walking in His perfect will. Join us as we journey closer to God, embracing prayer as a transformative force in our lives.

I saw so many revelations in that baby. It just made me go wow, god, using a little baby in here to show me Crawling can get you just so far. It can get you only to a certain level, but to go to the next step or the next level, you got to stand up. I was like my God, you got to stand up. How do I go to another level in prayer? You got to stand up. Oh, wow, really. You just stand. Can't stay down there too long. There's nothing down there but crumbs. In some places it ain't even crumbs down there. It's nothing at the bottom. Somebody in a clean house? So good, there's nothing at the bottom. So in order to eat, you got to get up. You got to get up. God is so awesome. God is so awesome. God, you are so wonderful and you are so worthy.

Speaker 1:

We thank you for this season. We thank you. We thank you for the opportunity to talk to you, because I think we forget that prayer is a conversation. It may be one-sided for just a little while, but you're expecting answers, so it's not one-sided the whole time. It is a conversation because you get a response after the prayer, after you say what you have to say, because God is such a gentleman, god is such a kind, loving. Oh my God, he's a wonderful God and he'll be patient enough to let you finish what you have to say, even though he already has the answers to what you're about to say. He already knows what you're about to say before you even say it. He's still waiting for you to say it. He still waits for you to get it on out your mouth.

Speaker 1:

How many people can you sit and have a conversation with and they already know the answer, and a lot of them won't even let you finish and I already know you ain't got to say it. I already know. Are they all? Finish your sentence? Because they already know. But God knows you're beginning, mmm, and you're in, because he actually created your in before you even began. So he already knows what you're about to say, how you're about to say it, what mindset you're in, before you even say it. He just let you talk and once you're finished, he responds with an answer. You have to, because that's what he did. He gave an example. I Don't think we even understand the purpose and the power behind the example he set while we're praying. If he set and was still and he was quiet, knowing that he already knows the answers, he knows the problem, he knows the situation, but he still set and waits on us to get it on out. He, he already knows. So he sits and he waits and lets us get it out. But then we'll get up and we'll get them moving around.

Speaker 1:

You move too fast, you talk too much, you think too much, you were too much. You're sitting there trying to figure out the very thing you just prayed for. I Just pray, god, heal my body. But then I get up and say, oh Lord, how I'm gonna get to chemo therapy tomorrow, how I'm a, how I'm a, how I'm gonna do this. Let me call such and such to take me here, instead of waiting on God to say, hey, call Mary, and, and you had you just waited and listened. Now you're feeling her cuz you call Barbara, suzy, sarah, robert, richard, john, down the street, and if you had to just wait it, your last person you call is a very person God would have told you to call first.

Speaker 1:

But no, we don't do that. I Know that's kind of. That's real. That's what we do in every situation. Some of us, some of us, are very obedient, but I'm sure Many of us can say that we found ourselves Doing exactly that praying for something and then getting right up after prayer and Finding our own answer, when all we have to do is wait. I'm gonna wait on you. So In this season, it's time for us to pray, trust and listen, and Wait, wait, pray, wait, trust and listen, or prayer, pray, wait, listen and just trust God yeah yeah, that's what we are in this season, and we're in a season of praying and waiting, listening and trusting, waiting.

Speaker 3:

This is good. That was good. That was good. That was good, that was good, that was good, it worked for me. I find myself talking and just walking away and I said, hey, man, I'm just doing whatever else I need to do to continue on my day and not listening for God to speak to me, because I look for Him to speak to me in other ways Instead of right after. I just have to enter my prayer with Him, or yeah, so I am. That's where it was for me. I know it was for several others that I really need to be there to just wait.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I know that this is a different era in time, and God knows that. God knows that we tend to, instead of sitting waiting, I want to say meditating, because we'll quickly say that's witchcraft, when meditation is just the same thing Daniel did when he worshiped God. At noon every day, he opened his windows and he worshiped, he prayed. That's what he got thrown in the lines then for. So it's so crazy in this time, you got to watch your words and how you, because people are quick to say, oh, that's witchcraft, when truthfully, it's just you being quiet and patient and disciplined enough to say I'm not in control, I'm going to sit here and wait until something happens, I'm going to sit here and trust until something happens. What we'll do is we'll quickly get up and we'll post on Instagram, facebook, whatever, linkedin, whatever Indie, whatever, and we'll just post something like just got finished praying. Trusting God sends a word, like somebody on social media is supposed to be the one that gives us a word. So now we're looking for people whether than looking for God.

Speaker 3:

And then that becomes because if somebody gives them a word, of course people are going to encourage, so then that makes other people look at it like okay, so if I can put this on social, now I can do it and I'll be expecting the same thing from people. And that's how we get so caught up in bearing away from God to man.

Speaker 1:

Right.

Speaker 3:

As soon as man said the wrong thing, though it's on with you this thing. You know. You trusted in man when he had the encouragement word. God is God.

Speaker 1:

Right. Everything's great when it feels good to us. Everything's great when the flesh is being groomed, I guess. But that's the reason why the Bible tells us a man's ways is right in his own eyes. So yeah, of course, when somebody says something that I don't like, I dog them down them, leave them, misuse them, mistreat them Saying foolish things when I had my trust in the wrong place in anyway in the first place.

Speaker 1:

I had my trust in the wrong place in the first place. Now, I'm not saying God can't use men and women of God. I know he can. He uses me and I'm grateful, I'm honored, I'm humbled by it, actually every day, but not. But I don't want us to get so deep or so far where we can't get ourselves back and get the intimate relationship with God. Any man and woman of Christ anyway should be veering you towards God. They shouldn't just give you a word and you constantly go back to them. Constantly go back to them. You should be, they should be saying, hey, the same God that I hear you can hear too. And this is how one, two, three. These are the steps.

Speaker 1:

But I understand what it means to be broken, hurting, starving. I've been there. I've been there and you're looking for God to speak through anyone Desperate for encouraging word, desperate for someone to say you matter. Desperate for someone to say you have a purpose, desperate. I know what that's like to feel. Desperate, like I feel like. I feel like I've done everything that I know to do prayed, I've cried out, I've fasted, I've done all these things. I give, I'm kind to people. I don't call in to work, I don't call out for school, I take care of my kids, I take care of my pets, I take care of my parents, I take care of my. I'm doing all of this. I feel like it's the right thing to do, but I still feel empty. I still feel depleted. I'm pouring all of this out and I'm not filled at all. So I know what that's like. So I know, I know what that's like and I know that's one of the reasons why people do go to different YouTube pages or social media outlets to look for not just God any answer, any answer. Because they feel so depleted and they're not getting fed the proper way, because they're not sitting and waiting or listening. They're looking with the carnal eye, they're listening with the carnal eye. They're hearing what they. They're looking for what they want to hear.

Speaker 1:

I remember having discussions with my husband, and it was. He would always say you want me, you're mad because I'm not giving you the answer you want to hear, and I would look at him like that's not true. But the truth is, yeah, yeah, yeah. It was something I needed. I needed to hear what I wanted to hear. It would have made me feel better, whether it was good or bad. However, I saw it how I pictured it. That's the way I felt, like it should have been or it should have gone.

Speaker 1:

And we do that as the body of Christ, we do that as women, we do that as men, we do that in all aspects. And God tells us not to do that, but we do it anyway because we that's actually we wind up making our own desires greater than God's desires for us. So sometimes you have to check your motive. Sometimes you do need to step back and breathe, like literally step back, shut your mouth and breathe. But that takes oh my God, that takes courage, that takes discipline, that takes humility, that takes vulnerability. That takes a lot to admit that things aren't going the way that I want them to go. And the problem is because I want them to go a certain way. I had a plan to look like this and look like this and go this way, and God's like I didn't. That was not my plan at all. I thought you asked me how the new business should look. I thought you asked me how your home should look. I thought you asked me. Oh, you asked me, but you really didn't want my answer.

Speaker 3:

You just wanted to include me.

Speaker 1:

What did you ask me for If you were going to do what you want to do anyway? My husband used to say the same thing. Why are you asking me a question and looking for your answer? If that's the case, you answered yourself. You just wanted to come out of my mouth. I can't give you your answer. I can only give you the truth.

Speaker 1:

God is so amazing. God is so amazing. I'm so grateful. I'm grateful for growth. I'm grateful for new opportunities, because God doesn't have to allow us to go through anything to get to where we are. He didn't have to allow us to go through nothing to get to where we are. He can just say you know what I'm done with him. I mean, he takes our breath.

Speaker 1:

We hear about people dying in their sleep all the time. We're grateful for another opportunity to get it right. We're grateful every time my eyes open. I wake up and I'm grateful. I'm smiling from ear to ear because I can't believe he did it again. He gave me another opportunity. So I'm always be a morning person, I'm always be an afternoon person because I'm excited that he did it again. So with that, I just give you glory and honor God. I magnify your name. I thank you.

Speaker 1:

So God told me for the next three weeks to publish a prayer and an encouraging statement and encouragement for everyone. This is just not for particular people, this is for everyone. But only when you're ready will God allow you to ingest this word, to digest it. You won't be able to eat until your body is capable to receive it. You won't be ready. I can't feed. God just keeps giving me revelations with babies. I can't feed a baby. Steak and potatoes, not a one day old baby. It's impossible. And not because they don't have teeth, not because they don't have great motion in their jaws yet, because their intestines aren't ready to digest it.

Speaker 3:

So we're going to start off with something solid, a liquid, something liquid?

Speaker 1:

Something milk, milk.

Speaker 3:

Strengtheness.

Speaker 1:

That's it. That's it Because I could be telling you, like I was talking to you guys earlier. I could be telling you hey, in this season we're supposed to pray for these people, these people, and you're sending them thinking to yourself well, who's praying for me? Or you're sending them thinking to yourself I got bills to pay, I got rent due, I got a car note due, so you're not on a level to even pray for anyone else because you can't get past yourself. So yet that puts you back on milk. But you're walking and talking like you eat steak and potatoes. Wow.

Speaker 3:

Wow, that's good. Okay, God, you want something, as always.

Speaker 1:

I can't keep giving you milk when you do need to be chewing. Now you're malnourished in the natural and the spirit, but they say I'm overweight. No, you still malnourished. So with that, I'm honored that God would allow me to pray this week. So this week we are going to be praying and waiting, then listening and then trusting that all will be well.

Speaker 1:

Our Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Speaker 1:

We bind the spirit of poverty now, in the name of Jesus, we declare prosperity. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, lord, you are all in all. You are all in all. You are all in all. Thank you Lord. Thank you, lord, that you are giving your people dominion over territories and we're declaring them now that the land is healed. We're walking, god, as ambassadors for you, with power and authority. Well, we thank you for the strength, we thank you for the courage, we thank you because without you, we don't have anything, we are nothing. We're giving our hearts and our minds back to you, because we don't want to be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind daily. And anytime the enemy tries to enter, you can laugh at them, you can put the word on them, you can tell him he has no place in your thoughts, in your life, and plead the blood of Jesus over your mind. God has you covered and wrapped. Know that God loves you, god adores you and you are worth it. You are worth it. You are worth the shedding of the blood. You are worth it and for that we give God praise, for your very life.

Speaker 1:
